Сontainer Transportation
Shipping cargo in containers is the most convenient and reliable way of freight transportation for long-haul journeys requiring the use of multiple modes of transportation (rail, ocean carrier, and truck). Sea container shipping is a part of a system-based logistics approach based on a sea-rail-road intermodal integration.
Advantages of container transportation:
• Goods are loaded into containers at a consignor’s warehouse and discharged at the final destination, which insures cargo safety.
• The time of delivery is reduced by using multiple modes of transportation, without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes.
• Freight handling costs are reduced.
We have many years’ experience in forwarding freight of various types, which enable us to design the most efficient transportation schemes for our clients. SWTrans does not have any geographical limitations: the customer’s freight is delivered in compliance with the contract date, regardless of the consignor’s and consignee’s location. SWTrans transports containers from Asian countries (China, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and others), North and South America. We can also do container transportation from European countries, such as Great Britain, Italy, Spain, and others.
SWTrans offers various containers for transportation of all kinds of freight. We have ventilated and temperature controlled containers, reefer containers for food transportation, bulktainers, tank containers, and others.
When fulfilling your order, SWTrans wholly manages the transportation and coordination of all agents at each stage of the transportation process:
• We develop transport schemes, estimate the transportation cost and insure your freight;
• We deliver an empty container back to the consignor;
• We arrange container loading/unloading and sealing in the loading area, if necessary;
• We execute the required documentation, fill in the customs declaration and perform consultations with control organizations;
• We provide container discharge service and goods delivery to the consignee’s warehouse.
